Workforce DevelopmentEOTC’s Workforce Development division introduced the community’s first single parent/displaced homemaker program and the region’s first open-entry career center for dislocated workers. Recognized as a top performer by Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry, EOTC was also selected by the National League of Cities to pilot a Transitional Jobs model. Today, EOTC assists unemployed and under-employed individuals of all backgrounds, including those who have lost jobs by corporate downsizing and manufacturer closings, and those with multiple barriers to employment. Job Search SupportEOTC offers life skills and personal development for individuals facing job loss or career transitions. Examples of services: Job Search Group – weekly, open-entry program Resume and interview preparation Career advising and coaching for job success Healthy Fathers and FamiliesThis initiative serves both fathers and mothers. The program promotes family stability and economic self-sufficiency through job readiness, life coaching, parenting education, and activities that promote healthy family relationships. Participants also receive help in accessing community resources such as housing, substance abuse treatment and other referrals. The project is funded by a federal Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood grant.
