Seventh Avenue Center
Fulfilling A Dream.
The community’s dream of a one-stop family resource center was realized with the opening of EOTC’s Seventh Avenue Center in July 2011. Designed as a place where children and adults can learn and grow, the Center brings multiple human services together in a convenient central Scranton location. EOTC‘s Center has received a prestigious Community Development Impact award.
A Window into the Center.
Seventh Avenue Center features counseling and training rooms, a computer lab, career resources, parent-child play & learn areas, green space and ample parking. In addition to headquartering EOTC, the Center houses an Early Head Start program, Dress for Success, Educational Opportunity Centers, and Scranton’s Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program. EOTC‘s center also hosts various community programs, such as monthly immunization clinics and meetings of the Pennsylvania Family Center Network. (EOTC is affiliated with Pennsylvania’s Family Center Network. Click to learn more about the statewide Family Center initiative.)
Building Our Future.
More than 4,000 people come to EOTC‘s center each month. Given the unprecedented needs of northeastern Pennsylvania families, EOTC recently purchased an adjacent property to accommodate program growth. EOTC and its nonprofit partners are counting on community support to help expand and sustain the Seventh Avenue Center campus.
We thank the many supporters who continue to enhance our Seventh Avenue Center — the donors who presented books and toys for programs; the artists who created original works for display; businesses that gave furnishings; and many others who shared gifts of time, talent and treasure to create this welcoming resource for the community.
